Digbeth is Good - The Digbeth Dress

I am not a regular visitor to Twitter but, on occasion I do like to sign in and check my news feed from contacts I have added.  I was eager to sign in when, I received an alert I had been mentioned in a Twitter post. Signing in I received a pleasant, unexpected surprise that "Digbeth is Good" had added a little article sharing my slide show of the first dress I made solely at home. With thanks to my tutor Ellie and "Digbeth is Good" for sharing, not only my proud accomplishment but also, Ellie B Jewels fantastic one to one tutoring and, the local fabric suppliers sourced from the Bullring Market and Barry's Fabrics.

The Digbeth Dress

posted on August 27 2013 by Pamela Pinski

Presenting....the first (one we know of) dress made entirely in Digbeth!

Digbeth resident Lisa Zdravkovic is not only a keen photographer - you may have seen her street art video recently - but it turns out, she's not a bad seamstress either! Lisa sent us this video documenting the Digbeth Dress, sewn in Digbeth, made in fabric bought at the Bullring markets, and with tutoring from Ellie B Jewels in Digbeth Court.

If you, or someone you know in Digbeth, has a hidden talent you'd like to share, please send an email to us at digbethisgood@gmail.com - we'd love to hear from you!
